A M King Completes Ronald Mcdonald House Office Renovation

Charlotte, NC—A M King has completed an office suite renovation for partner, neighbor and friend, The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) of Charlotte.

The building, located at 1613 E. Morehead St., originally opened its doors in May 2011. The House features approximately 35,000 square feet of living space, complete with 28 bedrooms (one family per bedroom/suite). It also has a community kitchen, living room, library, playground and sitting porch.

As the organization has grown, it hasn’t had enough efficient space for volunteers and staff. Last year, RMH of Charlotte served 494 families of children receiving treatment in a Charlotte-area medical facility, which is almost double the amount of families served since opening the doors eight years ago.

The 913-square-foot renovation provided two new offices, a new laundry room and updated finishes. A dedicated volunteer space was also added to help improve the volunteer experience for RMH of Charlotte’s more than 400 volunteers.

“To continue to take care of our families and our staff, our office space needed to be remodeled to accommodate our growing needs,” said RMH of Charlotte CEO Mona Johnson-Gibson. “Ever since I opened the doors in 2011, A M King has been a lifelong partner and friend of the House.”

“It is our pleasure to do our part to help such a fantastic organization serving families and their children in Charlotte,” says Matt Miller, A M King Senior Project Manager.

A M King participates in several Ronald McDonald House Charities fundraisers in Charlotte, NC, Baltimore, MD and Greenville, SC, including the Red Shoe Shootout and the Ronald McDonald House/Deborah Paterakis Golf Classic.
