The Preconstruction Manager and Designer sit down with the client to configure a cohesive plan. The most important component to these meetings is the client is heard. A M King desires to understand the client and what they do, focus on their vision for their process and facility, then devise a plan to accomplish and exceed client expectations.
In some cases this process includes a preconstruction and schematic design proposal, but in others it may include a total budget evaluation based on the layout either decided in previous meetings or a pre-existing layout provided by the client.
The most important aspect of the preconstruction process is recognizing potential risks and mitigating them for both the client and A M King.

Preconstruction serves a pivotal role in the Design-Build process. Preconstruction speeds up the project tremendously, which in turn saves time and money. By incorporating preconstruction, the Design-Build team can remain one step ahead at all times, also improving the team dynamic. Building relationships with your Design-Build team early on, will contribute to the overall functionality and success of the project.
